Sail on a 100 year old ship, go mudflat-walking, kayak through national park de Alde Faenen, hike in the Fries’ dunes (they really exist!), visit a Stupa, and.. let Eileen teach you some Fries!

Let’s explore the beautiful north!
Friesland is famous for it’s stretched landscaped and beautiful lakes and seas. We will show you around through the slik, the northern beach, the most beautiful nature reserves and more.
We will start off with a speedvisit to the ‘dutch africa’ where we will hike around and then make our way to the most northern nature reserve of The Netherlands; Lauwersmeer. Here we will explore the wildlife, by bike and by foot.
When visiting this part of our beautiful country the Waddenzee can not be missed! To make sure we don’t miss out on the seals, we will discover these waters by sailing. Hope you’re not too scared of speed..!
The explore the area even better we will go mudflat walking (wadlopen) and learn all about its origin and species, while making sure we’re ahead of the water coming back with the tide!
We’ll go on a kayak trip through National Park De Alde Faenen, hike through the dry dunes (in contrast with the rest of the province) and have a laugh when Eileen is teaching us some Fries.
We’ll sleep on the bus and on personal, small campsites / Campspaces and at farmers. Can’t you wait to light the campfire either and join the northern adventure?!

At the end of the day, when you just want to chill, we’ll be waiting there with your home for the coming days.
Fully equipped with heating, kitchen, bathroom, comfy beds, a big lounge and of course…a fire pit!
Of course part of the fun is to be driving around in our ancient bus, transformed from an old public transport bus into a comfortable hostel on the move.
We’ll be on a roadtrip to discover the province. Our bus will take us from A to B (if we’re lucky;)).
You’ll have your own bed, with curtains to provide some privacy. Upstairs you’ll also find the lounge with a view, while downstairs is the living area, with kitchen, bathroom and dining area. Both areas have what we call in Dutch ‘ARKO’ (Alle Ramen Kunnen Open’) and a heating system for the colder nights.
So, hop hop, train your muscles because we might need you cutting vegetables or pushing the bus up the hill every now and then! All part of the adventure!
