YOUR HOME, BOLIDE & TEAM FOR THIS WEEK

DRENTHE IS FAMOUS FOR ITS MYSTERIOUS DOLMENS

VISIT THE HISTORICAL TOWN OF ORVELTE

RACE DOWN THE SINGLE TRACKS ON YOUR MOUNTAIN BIKE

VISIT CONCENTRATION CAMP WESTERBORK

program

Drenthe, famous for its dolmens (hunebedden), has much more to offer! This amazing province has it all when it comes to far stretched fields, forests and interesting cultural places. This province will surprise you on every step of the way.

Hiking one of Drenthes biggest nature reserves is a good introduction to this cultural but active trip. We will spend the night at an inspiring campsite, where the brave ones can challenge body and mind at a Wim-Hof workshop*.

Ready for some culture? Drenthe has very impressive but sometimes heavy stories to tell. Here you can visit Westerbork , a concentration camp during the WW2. Also we will go back in time and visit a very picturesque little village called Orvelte.

Because the dolmens (hunebedden) can’t be ignored, we will visit at least one of these on our way back into nature. Here you will be able to challenge your fear of speed and hop on a bike on one of the best mountain bike trails our country has to offer. This route is truly full of surprises!

Of course, on a La Karavana trip we can’t skip water activities, so we’ll end the week by going on a 5-hour kayak trip where you’ll imagine yourself in the Ardennes.

the bus

At the end of the day, when you just want to chill, we’ll be waiting there with your home for the coming days.

Fully equipped with heating, kitchen, bathroom, comfy beds, a big lounge and of course…a fire pit!

Of course part of the fun is to be driving around in our ancient bus, transformed from an old public transport bus into a comfortable hostel on the move.

We’ll be on a roadtrip to discover the province. Our bus will take us from A to B (if we’re lucky;)).

You’ll have your own bed, with curtains to provide some privacy. Upstairs you’ll also find the lounge with a view, while downstairs is the living area, with kitchen, bathroom and dining area. Both areas have what we call in Dutch ‘ARKO’ (Alle Ramen Kunnen Open’) and a heating system for the colder nights.

So, hop hop, train your muscles because we might need you cutting vegetables or pushing the bus up the hill every now and then! All part of the adventure!

SEE YOU ON THE ROAD

Jolisa, Eileen, Saskia & Lisa.

SO, ARE YOU SURE YOU’RE READY TO STEP ON THE BUS?

YOU WON’T JUST JOIN THE ADVENTURE
YOU’LL BE PART OF THE ADVENTURE!

Once you step on the bus, you’ll be part of our team.

We’ll call on you to crawl underneath the bus when needed, to chop the broccoli and to turn on the bonfire.

And more than anything…

TO ENJOY THE FULL RIDE!

YIIIHAAA! WE ARE GOING ON AN ADVENTURE!
