This intensive ‘crash course’ will teach you all the basics of surfing and safety to continue your surf-passion by yourself. We’ll discover some of the best Surf Spots in The Netherlands on this 3 day long Surf Safari camp on Wheels!
You will get surf lessons from the experienced surf instructors of De Surfbus. De Surfbus is a mobile surf school teaching surf on all the best surf spots in the Netherlands! Together we make the perfect team; we’ll chase the best waves and show you some of the best and most beautiful surf spots the Netherlands has to offer!
Board rental + wetsuits are included in the price.
We’ll turn on the music while we cruise along the coast together. You’ll meet new people, with whom we’ll be eating and sleeping in the bus on two different, unique camp spots. Of course bonfires & BBQ will be part of the weekend as well!
La Karavana is a 46 year old double decker bus that is converted into a hostel by Jolisa, Saskia and Eileen. The driving hostel has everything you need; a fully equipped kitchen, living room, upstairs lounge, 9 super comfy beds and a heater just to be sure. All food is included in the price.
For whom: beginners. This is a follow-up course on the 1st surf-weekend we organized in May. This means we’ll cover slightly different subjects – skipping the very basics. However, it’s still a beginners-course.

TRIP INFORMATION
Pick Up & Drop-Off
Friday at 09.00 we will pick you up from a point A. We will inform you on this location +/- 4 weeks beforehand, but we can already tell you it will be in The Netherlands, on the west-side.
On Sunday around 17.00h we will drop you off at the same location.
Food & Drinks
All meals are included. All food is vegetarian.
You can drink as much coffee, tea, water or lemonade as you like. Other drinks like beer, wine or soda are not included and cost €2,00 each.
Price
This trip costs €475,- Everything’s included.
The Bus
Of course part of the fun is to be driving & living in our ancient bus, transformed from an old public transportation bus into a comfortable group accommodation.
You’ll sleep in a comfortable bed, either a bunk-bed or a single bed. Your bed has its own little light, curtain and locker for your valuables.
Upstairs you’ll also find the lounge with a view, while downstairs is the living area, with kitchen and dining area. Both areas have what we call in Dutch ‘ARKO’ (Alle Ramen Kunnen Open’) and a heating system for the colder nights.
Downstairs we have a big lounge / dining area with heater, where you can start your day with a cup of coffee or enjoy conversation till we’re too tired to talk.
The Campsite
We’ll park the bus at different unique locations. We will use the sanitary facilities such as shower and toilet from the campsite or otherwise we have it on the bus too.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
If you’re coming with public transportation, the best would be to use www.9292.nl to find out what route works best for you. We will let you know +/- 4 weeks before where we’ll meet
– since this might also be dependent on the weather forecast. It will be somewhere on the west of The Netherlands.
CARPOOLING
+/- one week before the trip, we will create a Whatsapp group with all the girls that are joining. You can then arrange to drive together if you wish.
We would recommend you to just join.
But if inevitable, and you do really have to cancel your trip:
– within 48 hours after booking, you will get a 100% refund
– More than 8 weeks before departure, we charge 15% of the travel fee
– 5-8 weeks before departure , we charge 30% of the travel fee
–3-4 weeks before departure, we charge 50% of the travel fee
–2 weeks before departure, we charge 80% of the travel fee
– 1 week before departure: we charge 100% of the travel fee
ITINERARY
At 09.00 we will pick you up and together we will cruise to the coast in our double decker bus – an adventure in itself! We will go to our first beach of this trip, where we’ll get some theoratical class and 2 hours of practical lessons before we take a break to enjoy a nice lunch.
After lunch and a little break, we continue with 2 more hours of practical lessons in the water!
We’ll drive to our sleeping place for the night, where we’ll cook for you, we set up camp and look back on an exhausting but very nice first day.
Today we’ll enjoy breakfast together and a cup of coffee before starting another instructive day. We drive to yet another beach today, to experience a different beach and different circumstances. We’ll learn more on some theory and jump into the water – there we go again! After 2hrs in the water, we make sure a delicious lunch is waiting for you.
After the break there will be 2 more hours of surfing before cruising in our bus to the next destination – another unique sleeping place!
Bonfires, good stories, good food & good company – de perfect way to end our second day!
On Sunday you’ll wake up with a nice breakfast, a cup of coffee and a yoga session . Then we’re headed to the beach!
Today we have 2 more hours of lessons on the water from Casper, after which you can decide to just relax, or use the wetsuit & surfboard a little longer and practice in the water yourself.
We’ll finish the day with a drink & good memories, before we drop you back off where we started on day 1. This will be around 17h. The exact location will still be announced, but will be somewhere in the Netherlands, in the west.
